Stromanthe Triostar

$35

Native to rain forests of Brazil, stomanthe sanguinea “Tricolor” is a stunning selection of a tropical herbaceous perennial in the maranta or prayer plant family (Marantaceae) with dramatic, multicolored leaves. Along with its vibrant leaves, you will love watching the leaves of Triostar Stromanthe move towards the light—literally reaching for the stars as the light fades.

They do not need to see the sun directly. But filtered sunlight through glass is fine.
The minimum light requirement for them is 3 - 6 feet away from the nearest light source. A good medium-light place in your home would be in the middle of a room that has a regular size window. They can be placed anywhere between the middle of the room and the window.
They need to be watered when the surface of soil is dry. That usually takes about 5 - 7 days in an average home environment.
They like a high humidity environment, give them a mist daily or as often as possible. Alternatively, you can put them around a humidifier. It doesn't mean they'll die if they don't get enough humidity, they may get some crunch edges or yellow rims if they don't have enough humidity but will survive.
The more indirect light the plant receives, the more variegation you will see on the leaves. Never expose it to direct sunlight, you will see burn spot on the leaves. The leaves will turn brown and crispy when the air is too dry.
The plant comes with a default nursery pot. Washable Paper Planter Bags are sold separately.
