Cat Palm

$50

Cat Palm, aka Chamaedorea Cataractarum, cascade palm, or cataract palm, is a small palm tree native to Southern Mexico and Central America. It features green cane-like leaf stems and glossy, dark green pinnate leaves with long thin leaflets, cat palm has a clump-forming growth habit and often forms large and dense clumps upon maturity.

While it can tolerate full sun, if watered regularly, it grows best in partial shade or indirect bright light inside.
It thrives in bright indirect light and requires more light as compared to other palms. The minimum light requirement for them is 0 - 3 feet away from the nearest light source. A good bright place inside your home would be on the window sill or a stool that is right next to a window.
They like the soil stays moist. Give them a water whenever you see the surface of the soil is getting dry. Maintaining the correct soil moisture is key to keeping your palm happy and healthy. The soil should be constantly moist, but not soggy—never let the soil dry out completely, or sit in water.
It doesn’t require very high humidity, but do not expose it to dry air for a long time as it can cause damage to the plant. Give them a mist as often as you can.
Cat Palm doesn’t need repotting very often, on average it is only required once every three years.
The plant comes with a default nursery pot. Washable Paper Planter Bags are sold separately.
