String of Turtles, aka Peperomia prostrata is a slow-growing perennial succulent. Its tiny, beautiful, shell-like turtle print leaves are fleshy and succulent to the touch, emerging along creeping, pinkish vines. That's where it got its name Sting of Turtles. Native to the rainforests of Brazil, it roots readily and is easy to propagate, though it is exceedingly difficult to find – a must have for every plant parents collection.

Small doses of direct sun are good, however too much direct sun can scorch the leaves. The best spot for them is where they do not see the sun during the majority of the day, like somewhere shady outside or inside behind a window.
It can survive medium light environment, but do best in bright light environment. The minimum light requirement for them is 0 - 3 feet away from the nearest light source. A good bright place inside your home would be on the window sill or a stool that is right next to a window.
This little plant likes moist soil but does not like overwatering. Allow the top two inches of the soil to completely dry before watering again. That usually takes about one to two weeks in an average home environment. It may vary depends on your environment and light condition, but for them, it's always safer to underwater or water when you see signs of lack of water like floppy, droop, or soft leaves.
Its humidity requirement is low. So do not mist them or put them in an aquarium.
Succulent leaves make String of Turtles especially sensitive to soggy soil. Use a loose, well-draining mix.
The plant comes with a default nursery pot. The nursery pot is usually 0.5" - 1" smaller than stated to fit into the same size decorative pot. Washable Paper Planter Bags are sold separately.
