Perlite is a naturally occurring volcanic glass that, when expanded, becomes a highly porous, lightweight medium. It improves aeration, prevents soil compaction, and ensures well-draining conditions—perfect for delicate roots and plants sensitive to overwatering. Incorporate perlite into your potting mix, combine it with peat moss for seed starting, or use it to root cuttings more effectively than water alone. Its airy structure promotes stronger root development and healthier, more resilient plants across a wide range of species.
The bag is about 6 1/2" × 4" × 18" in dimension, contains around 5.5 litres(186 oz) of perlite. Each bag is enough to fill 15 nursery planters in 3.5" - 4" diameter, or 5 nursery planters in 5.5" - 6" diameter. The bag has metal tabs that allow easy opening and secure closure.
