Plant Delivery Specialist (Part-time)
Job Overview
We're on the hunt for a Part-Time Plant Delivery Specialist to join our family. You'll be responsible for a delivery route that runs up to 2 days a week (could be on a weekday and weekend, depending on the demand), from approximately 10:30 am - 6 pm. Your route will be optimized based on your vehicle size, and we promise it's as efficient as it can be! While having a van or larger SUV is a bonus, it's not a requirement.
Role Description
As our Plant Delivery Specialist, you'll be the face of JOMO Studio to our customers. You'll be delivering happiness (and plants!) to a variety of locations, from downtown Toronto condos and apartments to urban subdivisions in the GTA with townhomes and houses. It's a fast-paced role, but our customers are fantastic, and you'll soon get to know our repeat customers and new ones alike.
Your mission is not just to complete the task but to connect the customer with their plant that brings them happiness. Qualifications
- Some knowledge of plants is preferred but not required
- A clean driving record is required
- Valid vehicle insurance
- The ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs (cases or big plants)
- Superb communication with customers and teammates
- Dedicated to providing excellent, on-brand customer service
- Must be detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a positive, optimistic, empathetic attitude
- Has a “whatever it takes” attitude

Plant Shop Associate
Overview
JOMO Studio is looking for a part-time Plant Shop Associate for its Toronto store to work up to 2-4 shifts a week, who is passionate and knowledgeable about indoor tropical houseplants and JOMO Studio’s mission to bring the best customer experience into the plant world, both in-person and online
Compensation
This role is paid $16.55 per hour before deductions and tax.
Location
This role will be located primarily at the Toronto store location at 21A Bathurst Street and off-site locations during corporate workshops.
Reporting
This role reports to the Manager.
Role Description
You are a plant-impassioned and team-oriented individual who has a balance of retail, customer service experience and indoor tropical houseplant knowledge. You love to meet like-minded plant enthusiasts as well as patiently teach plant novices about all the amazing things JOMO Studio has to offer. You must have a love for fast-paced, startup environments, are highly self-motivated and have the ability to maintain a positive, resilient attitude in the face of growth and change. You will be expected to work up to 8 to 16 hours/week, depending on availability, with plant shop duties, order fulfilment and to assist with JOMO Studio’s workshops.
Qualifications
- Loves indoor tropical plants and can identify many varieties while demonstrating a working knowledge of their care and maintenance - this is a requirement
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
- The ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs (cases or big plants)
- The ability to balance priorities and multi-task
- Superb communication with customers and teammates
- Desire to collaborate in a team-based environment

Areas of Responsibility
- Maintain plants in-store; including watering, cleaning, rotating, pest control, and pruning
- Pick, pack and stage plants for pickup and delivery orders
- Receiving plant shipments and inventory counts
- Facilitate transactions on our Point-of-Sale system in a friendly and timely manner
- Ensuring product is fresh while out on the floor, cycling out imperfect and ill plants to be disposed of or returned to the greenhouse
- Responsible for store upkeep; sweeping floors and cleaning daily
- Available to assist during workshops both on and off-site
- Maintaining store appearance set by our Co-Founders
- Develop a working knowledge of all of JOMO Studio’s plants and plant care, with the desire to uphold JOMO Studio’s friendly, plant expert reputation
- Ownership mindset in the areas of customer experience and plant knowledge
- Other duties as assigned
Schedule Requirements
- You must have weekday and weekend availability (a stable schedule will be established once hired)
- You must be available to work during heavy traffic sales (ex: B Grade sale, Black Friday sale)
- Available to work during retail blackout periods during holidays like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, etc.

Freelance Content Writer
Overview
JOMO Studio is seeking a talented Freelance Content Writer to join our creative team. This remote position is perfect for a self-motivated individual who excels at conducting research, generating compelling content ideas, and producing high-quality written work. As a Freelance Content Writer, you will collaborate closely with our Content Manager to develop engaging articles that resonate with our audience.
Compensation
This role offers payment per piece of content written, with the rate determined based on the length and complexity of the article.
Location
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere.
Reporting
This role reports to the Content Manager.
Role Description
As a Freelance Content Writer at JOMO Studio, you will be responsible for researching, proposing, and creating content that aligns with our brand and appeals to our target audience. You will be expected to pitch content ideas regularly, review these ideas with our Content Manager, and then write and deliver content according to the agreed plan. We require at least one article per month, ensuring consistency and quality in all deliverables.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in content writing, particularly in home decor, lifestyle, plant care, etc.
- Is a strong researcher capable of diving deep into topics to produce well-informed, engaging content.
- Demonstrates excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills.
- Is capable of working independently, managing time effectively, and meeting deadlines.
- Communicates clearly and is open to feedback and revisions.
- Is familiar with SEO best practices and can incorporate them into content naturally.
- Has the ability to generate creative content ideas that align with our brand voice and audience interests.
Areas of Responsibility
- Conduct thorough research on assigned topics or topics of interest to our audience.
- Develop and pitch content ideas to the Content Manager for approval.
- Write high-quality articles that meet the standards and guidelines set by the Content Manager.
- Revise and edit content as needed based on feedback.
- Submit at least one article per month, with the potential for more based on workload and interest.
