Astrophytum Myriostigma, commonly known as Bishop’s Cap, Bishop’s Hat, Bishop’s Miter, or Star Cactus, is a distinctive spineless cactus native to Mexico. Its sculptural, geometric form and silvery surface make it especially popular with cactus collectors. Young plants are typically rounded with five broad, sharply defined ribs, creating a star like shape when viewed from above. The green stem is densely covered with tiny white woolly flecks called trichomes, giving the plant a soft silver grey appearance. As it ages, Astrophytum myriostigma may develop additional ribs and gradually become more columnar. The rib edges are lined with small woolly areoles, but unlike many cacti, it produces no spines, giving it a clean, almost architectural look.

All of our plants are delivered by our human plant expert in person. We will send you a delivery confirmation once your delivery is scheduled. And you'll also get a text message with a tracking link when your plants are out for delivery and on arrival.

All of our 7" and smaller size plants and planters are now available to ship in a box across all provinces in Canada: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.**
We post our mails on Mondays(or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) using mixed carriers(Canada Post/UPS/FedEx), the cut off time is Saturday midnight, order placed after that will ship out on the Monday after, so please keep that in mind when you place your order. We do this to avoid the order sitting in a post office over the weekend, however, this may still happen from time to time. To prepare an order, we pack up the plants with great care, ensuring as much as possible that they will have a secure and smooth delivery. Once you receive your tracking link from Canada Post/UPS/FedEx, the delivery will all be based on their projected timelines.

Delivery Standards for Remote Areas
If the destination postal code is located in a remote area, and only Canada Post service the area(alternative options will shown at checkout if available), they may add up to 5 business days, in addition to the posted delivery time.
