Australia Umbrella Tree, aka Schefflera actinophylla, also known as Schefflera Amate or Octopus Tree, has palmately compound medium green leaves in groups of seven leaflets. It is usually multi-trunked, and the flowers develop at the top of the tree. Schefflera actinophylla can grow up to 65 feet tall in its natural environment!

They do not need to see the sun directly. But filtered sunlight through glass is fine. The best spot for them is where they do not see the sun during the majority of the day, like somewhere shady outside or inside behind a window.

It prefers medium to bright indirect light, but can tolerate lower light conditions as well. A good bright place inside your home would be on the window sill or a stool that is right next to a window.

They like the soil to dry out completely between watering. That usually takes about 2 weeks in an average home environment. It may vary depends on your environment and light condition, but it's always safer to underwater or give the soil a check before you do the watering.

They can live in any average home humidity condition.

It can survive in lower light spaces provided there is some source of natural light, but the watering will need to be reduced to prevent overwatering as the risk is heightened when the plant has access to less light and is less productive.
