Majesty Palm (Ravenea Rivularis) is an easy-care tropical palm with graceful, feathery fronds that adds classic good looks to indoor and outdoor spaces. Native Madagascar, these palms are typically found along river banks and likely got its name due to its majestic quality. They are also fast-growing, meaning they can be very successfully grown in pots.

They do not need to see the sun directly. But filtered sunlight through glass is fine, most homes are comprised primarily of indirect sunlight. The best spot for them is where they do not see the sun during the majority of the day, like somewhere shady outside or inside behind a window.
Majesty Palms can adapt to low light levels but will be happiest in a bright spot in your home. A good bright place inside your home would be on the window sill or a stool that is right next to a window. When putting outdoor, keep them somewhere don't get too much afternoon sun.
They like the soil stays moist. Give them a water whenever you see the surface of the soil is getting dry. Maintaining the correct soil moisture is key to keeping your palm happy and healthy. The soil should be constantly moist, but not soggy—never let the soil dry out completely, or sit in water.
Majesty Palms do best in high humidity, but can live in any average home humidity condition. Give them a mist as often as you can.
The brown fronds do not necessarily indicate a problem if it is being watered properly. Quickly remove any fronds that turn brown or yellow to improves the look of your plant and allows a clean space and more energy for new leaf growth. Like other palm trees, the fronds on your Majesty Palm will eventually turn brown and die.
