Rabbit’s Foot Fern, botanically known as Davallia fejeensis, is a charming tropical fern loved for its soft, lacy green fronds and fuzzy creeping rhizomes that spill over the edge of the pot like tiny rabbit feet. Native to Fiji and the Caroline Islands, this fern naturally grows with its rhizomes crawling across surfaces, producing delicate fronds along the way. The furry rhizomes are part of the plant’s normal growth habit and are one of its most distinctive features. As they trail over containers or baskets, they create a whimsical, textured look that makes Rabbit’s Foot Fern especially beautiful in hanging planters or decorative pots.
