Each plant arrives in its original nursery pot, which is thoughtfully positioned within the eco-friendly, 3D printed planter you select. This design choice ensures easy watering and maintenance. You may notice a space between the nursery pot and the decorative planter, to facilitate easy lifting and drainage, ensuring your plants stay healthy and happy.

As with all living things, no two plants are alike. There is some natural variation in size, shape, and characteristics. We make every effort to bring you a plant that as closely as possible matches the plant as it appears on our website, in the size you have chosen, and have a good potential to happily grow in your home.

Free local delivery* available within City of Toronto and surrounding areas including Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, and Scarborough.

Shipping options are available for plants and planters that are 7" or smaller to all provinces in Canada. We ship out on every Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) for orders placed by Saturday midnight.

We check the destination weather for each package to make sure they arrive safely with whatever it takes. Complimentary heat packs and insulations are included to protect your plants from cold damage when mailing in a box, if weather requires.

Pro tips

Keep both the Parlor Palm and Pilea Peperomioides out of direct sunlight to protect their delicate leaves. Repotting should be a rare event—once a year at most—as they prefer to establish themselves undisturbed. Yellowing fronds on the Palm may suggest it's time for a drink. Rotate your Pilea regularly to promote symmetrical growth since its leaves reach for the light. Crispy leaf edges? It's time to boost humidity. And if you spot white dots on your Pilea's leaves, this is a cue to increase the light to keep your plants vibrant and healthy.

Parlor Palm

Sun: Indirect

Parlor Palm should not be in a position to see the sun directly, although early morning or late evening sun is fine. Filtered sunlight through a sheer curtain is best and most homes are comprised primarily of indirect sunlight. The best spot for them is where they do not see the sun during the majority of the day but still get bright, indirect light.

Light: Medium - Low

Parlor Palm will thrive in medium to bright light, but also can tolerate low light. A good medium-light place in your home would be in the middle of a room that has a regular size window. They can be placed almost anywhere in the room but remember, plants will grow based on how much light they receive.

Water: When half dry

Parlor Palm needs to be watered when the top half of the soil is dry to the touch. That usually takes about 1 week in an average home environment. It will vary depending on the time of year, your environment and lighting conditions, but it's always safer to underwater or give the soil a check before you water again. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.

Humidity: Medium

Parlor Palm will do well in average humidity environments but will appreciate a little bit of humidity if provided, give them a mist daily or get a humidifier.

Pet Friendly

You can feel comfortable having Parlor Palm around your home in the potential case where your pet feels like nibbling on it. However, we typically recommend keeping your pets from eating any of your houseplants.

Care Tips

Avoid keeping Parlor Palm in direct sun and don't repot more than once a year, as their roots like to relax and settle into their new homes. If the fronds start to turn yellow, this could be a sign that the plant needs more water!

Pilea Peperomioides

Sun: Direct & Indirect

Pilea Peperomioides enjoys some direct sun, but they'll also do well in bright, indirect light. It is best to place this plant somewhere where it will receive some nice morning sun, or a couple hours of afternoon sun, and then indirect light the rest of the day.

Light: Medium

Pilea Peperomioides will do well in medium light but will grow faster with brighter light. A good medium-light place in your home would be in the middle of a room that has a regular size window. Remember that plants will grow based on how much light they receive.

Water: When mostly dry

Pilea Peperomioides likes the soil to be relatively dry before the next watering. That usually takes about 2 weeks in an average home environment. It will vary depending on the time of year, your environment and lighting conditions, but for them, it's always safer to underwater or water when you see signs of lack of water (i.e. droopy, floppy, or soft leaves). Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light.
