Hoya Pubicalyx

$40

Hoya pubicalyx is a vigorous vining plant with deep green lanceolate leaves, eager to climb up a trellis or cascade gracefully over the sides of its pot. Its leaves are often mottled with flecks of silvery variegation, and depending on how much light it receives, the stems can take on shades of purple. Native to the Philippines, we get many different cultivars of Hoya pubicalyx, such as 'Pink Silver,' and choose from the very best available. Eventually, clusters of fragrant star-shaped flowers appear on the vine which, depending on the cultivar, vary from white to pink, red and purple.

They do not need to see the sun directly. But filtered sunlight through glass is fine. The best spot for them is where they do not see the sun during the majority of the day, like somewhere shady outside or inside behind a window.
They thrive in medium to bright light environment. But can tolerate low light conditions. A good medium-light place in your home would be in the middle of a room that has a regular size window. They can be placed anywhere between the middle of the room and the window.
Allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Increase the frequency with increased light.
They can live in any humidity condition.
If it is getting too much light you’ll find that the leaves start turning yellow, but still feel firm and healthy. In that case, just move it a little further away from the sun.
The plant comes with a default nursery pot. Washable Paper Planter Bags are sold separately.
