Sansevieria Tigressa Shark Fin
Sansevieria Tigressa, aka Shark Fin snake plant, got its name because of the unique shape of its unusually wide, paddle-like leaves. Though slow-growing, the Shark Fin reaches impressive size compared to other members of the genus. Its leaves are beautifully mottled with patterns of dark and light green. Like all Snake Plants, the Whale Fin is extremely easy to care for, thriving with little maintenance and great for beginners. They stores carbon dioxide acquired at night for use during the day and releases oxygen (one of the end products of photosynthesis) at night when the pores open. This helps it to maximize efficiency in cleaning the air, as found in a study conducted by NASA.
As with all living things, no two plants are alike. There is some natural variation in size, shape, and characteristics. We make every effort to bring you a plant that as closely as possible matches the plant as it appears on our website, in the size you have chosen, and have a good potential to happily grow in your home.
