Read the product’s light and watering guidance before choosing by appearance alone. A drought-tolerant succulent needs a different routine from a moisture-loving tropical plant. Orchids and carnivorous plants can need particular growing media or water, so check those details first. Our Easy Care collection is another starting point if you want a more forgiving option.

Leaf patterns and colour vary between individual plants, and young foliage may look different as it matures. Review the product photos, description and selected size together. Unless a listing explicitly offers the exact specimen pictured, use the photos to understand the variety rather than expecting identical markings on every leaf.

Unpack it carefully, inspect the foliage and growing medium, and place it in conditions suited to that species. Check moisture before watering; arrival does not automatically mean it needs a drink. Keep a new plant separate from your existing plants for one to two weeks while you watch for any pest issues. Follow its own care guidance as it settles into your home.
